The project of renovating part of the most touristic and commercial avenue of the municipality of Pegeia, the Coral Bay Avenue, is in progress.
According to the mayor of Pegeia, Marinos Lambrou, the project concerns the redevelopment and beautification of part of Coral Bay Avenue in Pegeia, the removal of inappropriate and unlicensed constructions on the road surface, the enrichment and upgrading of the operational infrastructure and the construction of facilities to attract visitors.
The Project, according to the mayor of Pegeia, includes the elevation of the road to the same level with the sidewalks, the placement of granite blocks along the entire width and length of the section under construction, the construction of a system, rainwater drainage, underground Public Utilities and modern Street Lighting.
NB - It is recommended that you ring ahead for any business you wish to visit on the Strip as some are closed, some are undergoing renovation themselves as they have 'unlicensed constructions' and some you have to enter via the back of the premises!!
