The Baltic countries are now an important player in Paphos' tourism industry, as evidenced by daily flights to and from Paphos Airport from Estonian and Lithuanian cities.
The situation has even improved considerably this summer, with the Ryanair's flight programme being even more enhanced to the Baltic.
In order to strengthen the growing interest from this region of northern Europe towards Pafos, the Pafos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Agency is already acting, whose executives were together with members of PASYXE Pafos in these countries this year, to participate in workshops organized with 150 tour operators from the Baltic countries.
As can be seen from the statistics, these markets have recorded satisfactory increases in recent years, with the largest percentage being individual visitors. The whole effort to participate in exhibitions and workshops, hosting tour operators, public relations actions and other promotional actions, are part of a broader framework of the joint efforts of the institutions and entrepreneurs of Pafos, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and others for the recovery of tourism and the attraction of visitors on a year-round basis from 2024.
