According to an announcement by the Police, members of the Force proceeded on Friday to arrest a 37-year-old man to facilitate investigations regarding an investigated case of illegal entry into property and illegal use of Turkish Cypriot property.
According to Paphos Assistant Police Director of Operations Michalis Nikolaou, it was reported on November 29 by the Turkish Cypriot Property Management Service in Paphos that a 37-year-old man from Paphos allegedly illegally settled in a property in the Muttalou area.
After police examinations, Mr. Nikolaou told KYPE, the 37-year-old was located at 12:20 on Friday and was subsequently arrested and taken into custody. He was subsequently accused in writing and then released to be summoned later. The property was recovered by the Turkish Cypriot Property Management Service in Paphos.

A two-day detention order was issued by the Paphos District Court against a 58-year-old resident of Cyprus, to facilitate investigations related to an investigated case of illegal possession of burglary tools and other property.
According to the Assistant Police Director of Paphos Operations, Michalis Nikolaou, on Friday, members of the Paphos Crime Investigation Department stopped to check, following relevant information, a car driven by the 58-year-old.
During the investigation, a number of burglary tools and property suspected of being stolen were found. The 58 year old was arrested and detained for two days.

The Pafos Police arrested a 22-year-old man on Friday, for an investigated case of illegal possession and use of a class B controlled drug and various traffic offences.
According to the Assistant Police Director of Paphos Operations, Michalis Nikolaou, on Friday at 9:00 p.m., members of the Paphos traffic police stopped a car with a 22-year-old driver, a political asylum seeker, for a check.
A subsequent physical search allegedly found in his possession a quantity of cannabis which he stated was for his own use. He was arrested for an unprovoked crime and taken into custody and then taken to the YCAN offices in Paphos.
Mr. Nikolaou reported to KYPE that the young man had a positive result during a drug test. He gave an additional saliva sample which was sealed and will be sent to the State General Chemistry, for laboratory analysis, he added.
His vehicle was taken and detained at the Paphos Traffic Police while it was found that he was driving without a driver's licence and without insurance. Subsequently, the 22-year-old was taken into custody at the Paphos ADE detention center.

Nine computers and other devices were seized by members of the Paphos Crime Prevention Ulam on Friday, during an investigation to crack down on electronic gambling.
According to a representative of the Office of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters, as part of the operation, on Friday afternoon around 18:30, a search was carried out in a building. In addition to the computers, the Police also seized two modem devices and two cameras, for further examination. All documents were transferred to the Offices of TAE Paphos.
According to the Police, they are conducting examinations in order to see whether the computers were used to provide services for conducting casino games of chance.
Investigations into the case are ongoing. Coordinated operations to crack down on electronic gambling will continue at a later stage.

Police arrested a 24 year old foreigner at the Polis Chrysochous police station. She had gone to the station to visit a friend.
A small amount of metamphetamine was found in the items she was carrying, in shampoo. She then handed over another 3 grams of the same substance she had hidden in her bra.
