A total of 250 persons, who were staying illegally in Cyprus, were repatriated last week (26/11/2023 – 3/12/2023) from the country, as part of the efforts of the Police, to return third-country nationals to their countries of origin.
At the same time, during the same week, 73 third-country nationals who were staying illegally in Cyprus and for whom their removal is under way through forced and voluntary return procedures from Cyprus was arrested.
It is noted that since the beginning of the year, 8,868 people staying illegally in Cyprus have departed the country through forced and voluntary return procedures.
The efforts of the Police and the Aliens and Immigration Service to maximize the number of returns continue.
