A 47-year-old Greek Cypriot man driving under the influence of alcohol attacked police officers when they asked for a final exhalation sample.
The 47-year-old's vehicle was stopped last night for inspection. On preliminary examination it was found that he was driving after drinking alcohol, the reading was 47 instead of 22 milligrams. He was asked for a new sample for final examination, reacted, beat the police officers who arrested him.

The owners of three nightclubs, out of the six checked by police last night, did not have a license to broadcast music.
The police have made relevant complaints and continue checks ahead of the holidays.

Police arrested a 24-year-old woman yesterday to facilitate investigations into an ongoing case of conspiracy to commit a felony, illegal importation, supply, possession and possession of drugs with intent to supply.
Specifically, as part of the actions taken by YKAN in cooperation with the Customs Authorities, the 24-year-old was stopped for inspection, yesterday around 8.30pm, upon her arrival at Larnaka Airport, from abroad.
During the search, eight nylon packages containing a total of 8kg and 957g of cannabis were found in her luggage.
The 24-year-old was arrested for a flagrant offence and taken into custody to facilitate interrogations.
