Work on the realization of the vision of the late Stass Paraschos and Akis Kleanthous for the creation of a Lemba Cultural Village is running at a very fast pace.
The creation of the Cultural Village, with a total budget of four million euros, among other things, provides for the development of building infrastructure that will form the core of the School of Fine Arts. The complex of upgraded infrastructure will also have multifunctional facilities, laboratories, exhibition halls, as well as accommodation and hospitality areas for professors, students and other artists.
In this context and in combination with the exploitation of the archaeological site and the existing research center, Lemba will become a real lung for the development of contemporary artistic creation, but also a place of production and interaction of cultures. Upon its completion, in 2024, the Cultural Village in Lemba will contribute to the further promotion of the hidden cultural potential of Cyprus.
The former President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades, suggested to the Community Council that the cultural village be called "Cultural Village of Stass Paraschou" of Lembas, pointing out that this would be the minimum honor to the one who left his mark not only in Cyprus, but also internationally.
