Human bones and remains of clothing believed to belong to the same person were found shortly before noon in Akamas.
The authorities have been mobilized for the case and from the preliminary assessments of the Police it is probable that the findings concern a person who has been missing since last March.
The human bones and clothing were found at 11 a.m. during a hunting trip in an area of the Akamas peninsula. A member of the Police who was hunting with friends in this area, located the human bones and remains of clothing and immediately informed the Pafos Police.
A team of the Pafos ICF, a forensic pathologist and an anthropologist rushed to the scene to conduct examinations. Due to the inaccessibility of the area, the transfer was made using a police helicopter.
From the initial investigations at the scene, police officials believe that the bones are likely to relate to a person who has been missing since last March.
Examinations are ongoing.
