The Bishop of Hytra, Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Agios Neophytos, Mr. Leontios, will celebrate on Friday, October 20, 2023 the Inauguration of the Holy Church of Saint Ephraim the Hieromartyr, in Tala.
According to a relevant announcement, the Inauguration of a Church is a unique and unrepeatable event that happens once in a Church and with this Service the Holy Altar and the Antiminsia on which the Divine Liturgy is celebrated are consecrated, the building of the Holy Church is blessed, the sleepless lamp is lit and other sanctifying and unique acts are performed.
It is a great blessing, it is noted, to participate in the Inauguration service. At 6 p.m. on Friday, October 20, the reception and preparation of the Holy Relics will take place, followed by a great Solemn Vespers, Matins, the ceremony of the Holy Inauguration and a solemn Divine Liturgy.
On Saturday, October 21 at 7:30 p.m. there will be a Holy Supplication to Saint Ephraim.
