More than 100 persons, who were staying illegally in Cyprus, departed our country yesterday, as part of the efforts of the Police, for the return of third-country nationals to their countries of origin.
In total, from October 7, until today, October 13, 2023, 206 third-country nationals who were staying illegally in Cyprus departed.
Since the beginning of the year, 8694 people staying illegally in Cyprus have departed. Of these, 1672 have been deported, 5769 have returned voluntarily and 1253 have been relocated to other EU Member States.
During the same period, illegal arrivals of third-country nationals in Cyprus amounted to 7914.
The efforts of the Police and the Aliens and Immigration Service to maximize the number of returns continue.
