During the works, the motorway shoulder will be partially closed, 300 meters long at a time, without lane closures. On the Limassol-Paphos highway, from the Erimi junction to the Petra tou Romiou bridge, on Monday 23/10/2023 and Tuesday 24/10/2023, in sections towards Paphos, as well as on Wednesday 25/10/2023 and on Thursday 26/10/023, in sections in the direction of Limassol, between the hours of 09:00 – 15:00, sweeping operations will be carried out, including the junctions of the highway. During the works the following will be applied: I. The right lane of the highway will be partially closed for a length of 200m. approximately in one direction only at all times and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane II. One traffic lane of the connecting roads of the junctions will be partially closed for a length of 100m. approximately in one direction only at all times and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane
Also on the Limassol-Pafos highway, in the section from the new roundabout to the Erimi exit, on the weekends 4/11/2023 to 5/11/2023, 11/11/2023 to 12/11/2023 and 18/11/2023 2023 to 19/11/2023, between the hours of 6:30 – 13:00, pruning operations will be carried out within the central island by the Forestry Department. During the works, the right traffic lane will be partially closed for a length of 200m. approximately in both directions and traffic will be diverted to the left lane. On the road from the Tsangaridis traffic lights to Anthoupoli to the Anthoupoli roundabout and on the highway (A9) from the Anthoupoli roundabout to the Kokkinotrimithia roundabout, from Monday 16/10/2023 to Friday 27/10/2023, between the hours of 09:00 – 14:00, maintenance work will be carried out on the greenery of the central islands, by the Department of Forestry. During the execution of the works, the tangential traffic lane of the central island will be partially closed in both directions for a length of 100-200m. approximately, each time and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. On the Pera Choriou to Analyondas road beyond Kotsiatis (E102), in the period 16/10/2023 – 31/10/2023, During the execution of the works, one traffic lane will be closed in a section of approximately 100 meters and the traffic will be diverted to the other traffic lane, using temporary traffic lights. Asphalt paving works will be carried out on the Tembria - Galata road (E908) in the period 16/10/2023 - 31/10/2023, excluding weekends, between the hours of 07:00 - 18:00. During the work, one lane of the road will remain closed and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. In Nicosia, on Nikis Avenue, at the junction with Chios Street and for a distance of approximately 500 meters, on Sunday 29/10/2023, between the hours of 06:00 – 18:00, culvert construction work will be carried out. During the works, Nikis Avenue in both directions to and from the Nicosia Center will remain closed to traffic and traffic will be diverted through Riga Feraio, 25th March and Evdokia streets in the direction of the Nicosia Center and through the streets of 25th March, Triptolemos and Riga Feraio in the direction of Acropolis. In Strovolos, in sections of Kalamon, Limassol (old street), and Nikos Papaminas avenues, from Monday 16/10/2023 until Wednesday 25/10/2023, excluding weekends, between the hours of 09:00 – 17:00 , maintenance work will be carried out on the greenery of the central islets, by the Municipality of Strovolos. During the works, the tangential traffic lane of the central island will be partially closed in both directions for a length of 100-200m. approximately, each time and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. In Strovolos, in the period 17/10/2023 – 31/1/2024, a section of Strovolou Street will be closed from its junction with Hydras Street to its junction with Pentelis Street, as part of the "Road within Tseriou" Project. within the framework of the 6th phase of the works. During the above phase, traffic from and to Nicosia will be diverted to Pentelis, Veroia and Archiepiskopou Kyprianou streets. For the above traffic detour there will be appropriate temporary markings, which drivers should follow. Also in Strovolos, on Strovolos Avenue, from Thursday 26/10/2023 until Thursday 2/11/2023, excluding weekends, between the hours of 09:30– 12:45, maintenance work will be carried out on the greenery of the central islets, by the Municipality of Strovolos. During the works, the tangential traffic lane of the central island will be partially closed from both directions for a length of 100-200m. approximately, each time and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. In Lakatamia, works will be carried out on Tseriou Avenue and Strovolou Street, from Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue to Pefkou Street, from Friday 12/5/2023 and for a period of 20 months, as part of the improvement/construction of Ippokratous, Argyroupoleos, and Department Avenues of Tseriou Avenue and Strovolou Street. At the same time, during the same period, as part of the reconstruction of Hippocrates Avenue, Themistokleous Street and Areos Avenue will be closed from their junction with Themistokleous Street to Nikias Street and Kentaurou Street respectively. In Lakatamia, on Spyros Kyprianou Avenue, from Tuesday 24/10/2023 until Friday 27/10/2023, between the hours 09:30 - 12:45, work will be carried out maintenance of the greenery of the central islands, by the Municipality of Lakatamia. During the works, the tangential traffic lane of the central island will be partially closed in the direction from the junction with Konstantinoupoleos Avenue to the Circular Junction Metro for a length of 300 - 500m. approximately, each time and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane circulation. As part of the "Road within Tseri" Project, as part of the 6th phase of the works, in the period 17/10/2023 - 31/1/2024, a section of Strovolou Street will be closed from its junction with Hydra Street to its junction with Pentelis Street. During the above phase, traffic from and to Nicosia will be diverted to Pentelis, Veroia and Archiepiskopou Kyprianou streets. During the works, the right lanes of traffic will be closed in both directions of the highway for a length of 1000m. and traffic will be diverted to the right lanes. In the wider area of Larnaca and Famagusta from Wednesday 06/09/2023 and for a period of approximately 4 months, a private company will carry out works to replace outdated signalling equipment at 33 light-controlled junctions and 12 Pelican-type pedestrian crossings, with a new low-consumption type ( Extra Low Voltage-ELV) with LED lamps, Pedestrian Countdown and touch-type demand system for pedestrians. The equipment replacement work at each point will be completed within one day, unless unforeseen, and during the work the light-controlled intersections and pedestrian crossings will remain out of service unless it is deemed necessary to install temporary traffic lights. At the above intersections, preceded by civil engineering works for the infrastructure. In the wider area of Larnaca and Famagusta, from 6/9/2023 the replacement of obsolete signalling equipment at 33 light-controlled junctions and 12 pedestrian crossings, with a new type of low consumption (Extra Low Voltage-ELV) with LED lamps, remaining time counting system, continues from 6/9/2023 (Pedestrian Countdown) and touch-type demand system for pedestrians. The equipment replacement work at each point is completed within one day, barring unforeseen circumstances, and during the work the light-controlled junctions and pedestrian crossings remain out of service unless it is deemed necessary to install temporary traffic lights. Korai Avenue (Traffic Lights, Famagusta) · Nisi Avenue / S. Hatziprokopiou (Traffic Lights, Famagusta) · Arch. Kyprianou / Makariou 3 Avenue (Traffic Lights, Larnaca) In the province of Nicosia, at the Tseri bypass (Halepiano road), from Saturday May 6, 2023, from 7.00 in the morning and for a period of six (6) months, works will be carried out at the junction with the road under construction that will join the Perimetriko Motorway. The traffic lanes will be moved slightly south for a period of 3 months and then further north for another 3 months. In Tseri, Nicosia province, from September 1, 2022, works will be carried out on the Road within Tseri, which will last 78 weeks and is expected to be completed by February 28, 2024. Works will be carried out within the Municipality of Tseri to upgrade the main road of the axis that passes through the Municipality. More specifically, the works will include the construction of a two-lane road (with additional clockwise lanes at the traffic lights) within the Municipality of Tseri for a length of approximately 2.5 kilometers. It also includes the construction of sections of bypass roads (K. Misiaulis, Salaminas, T. Anthia, S. Papalazarou, etc.), in a total area of approximately 600 meters, which contribute to the main road. In the project, a small roundabout will be built connecting Strovolos and Agios Georgios streets at its northern end. Along the road, parking spaces will be created on both sides to serve the commercial areas of the Municipality as well as the two Primary Schools included in the project. The project also includes the construction of sidewalks, the installation of traffic lights, the undergrounding of all utilities, horizontal and vertical signage, the installation of new street lighting and other related works. Depending on each phase of the works, the relevant announcements will be issued that will describe the works to be performed as well as the corresponding traffic regulations. In the province of Larnaca, as part of the construction works of the "Improvement of the Larnaca - Dekelia Coastal Road Phase C" Project, works will be carried out on the Larnaca - Dekelia coastal road by the Larnaca Marine Club in both directions, from September 8, 2023 until 10 December 2023. The road will be closed from the Larnaca Maritime Club roundabout to the height of Dramas Street in Livadia. Traffic will be diverted to Navarinou Street through the Larnaca Maritime Club roundabout and Michalaki Karaoli, Ellados, Navarinou and Drama streets in the Municipality of Livadia. Part of Navarinou Street as well as the entire Drama Street will be one-way. Drivers are urged to use caution. Also in the province of Larnaca, on Friday 19/05/2023, the reconstruction works of the Ormidia - Xylofago road will begin, which will last for approximately 12 months, until the end of May 2024. The Project is an improvement of a part of the existing road that connects the community Ormideia with the old Larnaca - Dekelia - Famagusta road. The section of the existing road that is being improved begins immediately after the exit from the residential area (near the junction with Menelaou Ludemi Street) and ends at the junction with the old road Larnaca – Dekelia – Famagusta. Also in the province of Larnaca, as part of the construction works of the "Improvement of the Ormideia - Xylofagos Road" Project, from August 28, 2023 until July 17, 2024, work will be carried out on Anexartisias Street. The road will be closed to traffic in both directions, from the junction with Menelaou Ludemi Street to the junction with the old Larnaca-Dekelia-Ammochosto road. During the works, traffic will be diverted to an existing parallel road (old Larnaca-Dekelia-Ammochosto road). The movement of vehicles and pedestrians on adjacent roads and properties will be done according to the corresponding local arrangements. In the district of Paphos, the road Aspro Potamos (boundaries of the State Forest) - Toxeutras in the Akamas National Forest Park is still closed, due to improvement works on the road network. The public, to avoid inconvenience but also for safety reasons, is invited to avoid using the road in question and to use the roads that lead from the communities of Inia, Arodon and Kathika to the Park. In particular, those who will visit Lara should use the "Inia-Lara" road and those who will visit Avakas the "Pano Arodes-Avakas" road. Land owners, farmers, breeders and other professionals operating in the area can use the "Pegia-Osia Matrona-Avakas" road. In the district of Limassol, in a part of Olymbou street in Platres, during the period 18/9/2023 – 10/11/2023, between the hours 07:00 – 15:30, construction works of a retaining wall and a rainwater channel will be carried out by a private contractor Company. During the works, the following arrangements will apply. In the period 3/10/2023 - 10/11/2023, one of the traffic lanes of Olympou Street will be closed for a length of 120m. approximately and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane, with alternating traffic management with temporary traffic lights. Also in the province of Limassol, on a section of the road Limassol - Agros, by the village of Gerasa, in the period 18/9/2023 – 12/12/2023, between the hours of 07:00 – 15:30, construction works of retaining walls and roughening of slopes will be carried out by a private Contracting Company. During the above period, one of the two traffic lanes of the road will be closed for a length of 120m. approximately and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane, with alternating traffic management with temporary traffic lights. As part of the construction works of Phase 1 of the Road Network of the Vassilikos Energy Center, in Mari, from March 23, 2023, on the road between the EAC substation and the Vassilikos River in Mari, north of the cement plant facilities, system construction works will be carried out sewage system and one lane will be closed to traffic. Traffic will be regulated with traffic lights. The movement of vehicles and pedestrians, on adjacent roads and residences will be done according to the corresponding local arrangements.
