The Cypriot ports have been put on full alert, as there is a plan to remove thousands of Israeli and foreign nationals by sea to Cyprus.
Initial plans include using both the Limassol and Larnaca ports, which are expected to receive the first ships within the day.
According to Philenews reports, a cruise ship carrying about 1,300 people will arrive in a few hours at the port of Larnaca, where preparations are being made to receive them and provide facilities based on the provisions of the National ESTIA Plan.
Of these, about 300 foreign nationals will board flights to their countries. Some 150 Israelis, who arrived in Cyprus from other countries in order to return to their country, will also board the ship.
It is noted that Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos has convened a meeting of the Ministerial Crisis Management Group, which includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Defence, the Minister of Interior, and the Minister of Justice and Public Order. The meeting will also include the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, the Minister of Health, the Chief of General Staff, and the Chief of Police, as well as other relevant departments and agencies.
