The route and origin of the 8 kilos of cocaine found and seized last Friday night (13/10) at a house in Mouttayaka, are being sought by members of the Anti-Narcotics Service in Limassol, who believe that another large hard drug cartel has been dismantled.

Investigators in the case appear convinced that the mastermind behind the large amount is the 35-year-old suspect, who keeps his mouth tightly shut. The authorities have had information about the person in question for some time that he is involved in the trafficking and trafficking of large quantities of drugs. On the other hand, the 34-year-old arrested man, owner of the house, admitted the role of storekeeper, claiming that he gave up the space of his house to hide cocaine, receiving a reward from the 35-year-old, the amount of €1,000 per month.

Investigations by investigators in the case are in full swing, looking beyond the drug route and the recipients. At the same time, the telecommunications data of the two suspects are expected to be checked and searches will be carried out at specific points and premises.

The value of the seized quantity of 8 kilos of cocaine, according to the experienced investigators of the YKAN, is estimated at €1million. The two suspects, the 34-year-old owner of the residence and the 35-year-old alleged mastermind, have been in custody for a period of 14 days since Saturday (10/8). "F" reports that the former has also found a lawyer to represent him in the judicial process.

According to the facts of the case, information was received in the hands of the YKAN that the two men, aged 35 and 34, were engaged in the trafficking of large quantities of drugs. After a coordinated operation by YKAN Limassol on Friday night (13/10), the two suspects were caught red-handed in an open area, bordering the 34-year-old's residence in Mouttayaka, separating and packaging a kilogram of cocaine. The two suspects, according to F's information, distributed the cocaine in various doses in bags so that it would be ready for sale.

The members of the YKAN proceeded to arrest the 35-year-old while the 34-year-old tried to escape, throwing in the yard of a neighbouring house, a bag of cocaine weighing 100 grams. The 34-year-old, however, was stopped by members of the police and put in handcuffs. In a search, buried quantities of cocaine weighing about 8kg as well as cannabis of one kilogram were found. Precision scales, a sum of money, a mobile phone, as well as eleven flares and two smoke canisters were also found and confiscated as evidence.
