A two-year-old girl was spotted wandering alone on a street in Geroskipou this morning. The toddler was spotted by a citizen who immediately alerted the authorities.
Members of the Police who rushed to the area found a little girl who was found to be the child of foreign residents of Cyprus and only two years old. The child was picked up by the police and handed over for proper care to social welfare officers.
At the same time, searches began to locate her parents, which was achieved a short time later.
Police are now investigating the circumstances under which the toddler escaped the attention of the parents and according to a spokesman of the force if upon completion of the investigations responsibilities arise for them, then they will be attributed.
