High, as the HIO finds, is the need for the evaluation by patients of the GHS hospitals.
As the director of the organization, Andreas Papakonstantinou, told philenews a while ago, "the processing of the first evaluation of hospitals has been completed, which was done through the completion of a special questionnaire by patients and as we find out, our beneficiaries give an average score of 9/10 to the hospitals that served them".
The evaluation, Mr. Papakonstantinou pointed out, concerns "the cleanliness, the behaviour, the quality of the services they received as far as the accommodation sector is concerned."
This is a process that will be continuous, "patients receive the questionnaire electronically when they are discharged and we invite them to fill it out so that we know how our hospitals evaluate and intervene if necessary in some cases."At a later stage, he added, "evaluations will also be published per hospital, but now we are in the very early stages and therefore the first publication will be rather centralized in the evaluation of hospitals."
It is stated that patient evaluation is part of the qualitative incentives implemented under the new way of compensating hospitals.
