In the worst-case scenario, the protest march on migration in Limassol evolved, which began with incidents on the coastal front, shortly after 20.00 on Friday night, which spread to the city center.  According to police, there have been seven arrests so far for rioting.

As we are informed, the incidents after the embankment continue in the main streets of the city, as do the street battles between the masked men, far-right elements and policemen, with the city surrendering to their hands and the Police responding with tear gas.

At the same time, the rioters cause damage and vandalism in their path.

As Philenews learns, the masked men have caused damage to premises belonging to foreigners near the Courts, while at the same time there are, according to the same information, incidents on Gladstonos Street and Anexartisias Street in the city center.

According to information from the incidents earlier, glass hotel cases were damaged, a barber shop burned, two other shops on the seafront were damaged and at least two vehicles were burned.

As mentioned above, masked men attacked at least five foreigners, the police intervened and firecrackers were thrown, while later they also attacked journalists on the coastal front. A chaotic situation prevailed on the coastal front, with tear gas, firecrackers, fires and terrified citizens fleeing.

The demonstrators, as we are informed, threw firecrackers and Molotov cocktails on the street and cars, while tear gas was used by the police. "Present" at the protest and the anti-riot vehicle Ajax.

Participants in the migration march chanted slogans against migrants, the government's handling and journalists.

Police crews were attacked by unknown assailants and forced to flee the area.

The situation remains unsettled, as the participants in the incidents continued to move to various areas of the center of Limassol.
