The approval of the environmental authority was secured by the revised environmental impact study by the Leptos Group, in relation to additional conversions of €45 million. at Coral Beach & Resort in Peyia.
For this development there is a valid planning permit that already covers / foresees the construction of 3 existing buildings, as well as 4 other buildings that have not yet been constructed (total capacity of 1,176 beds), as well as external works and other facilities.
The last application, which was approved, requested the modification of the licensed part of the development that has not yet been implemented. Specifically, the 4 licensed but non-constructed buildings are replaced with 3 buildings and the already licensed 1,176 hotel beds are increased to 1,370 beds (948 hotel beds and 422 apartment beds).
Modifications / additions mainly include the following:
– Construction of 172 apartments [3 new buildings / blocks with 6 floors (block 6), 7 floors (block 4) and 8 floors (block 5), of which one floor in all three buildings is below the level of the public road].
– 48 new hotel rooms (addition of one floor to two existing buildings / blocks)
– One floor underground parking – Two-storey underground parking – New communal swimming pools – Private swimming pools of rooms / suites – Extension of verandas – Small extension of the conference center – New health / wellness center (SPA) – New stores – A restaurant in the main building and a restaurant on the coastal front – Reception and circulation areas – Common areas in the VIP area with ground floor restaurant / bar and communal swimming tank.
With the implementation of the proposed project, there are expected to be a total of 486 parking spaces, of which 16 parking spaces will be for people with disabilities, and 3 parking spaces for buses. At the same time, there is a bicycle parking area. The proposed height of existing buildings 1 and 2 with the addition of a new floor of approximately 3.5 meters will rise to approximately 37 and 34 meters, respectively. The height of the new buildings is 29.34 and 37 meters.
The total area of the gardens amounts to approximately 15,000 sq.m., while the total plot of development amounts to 67,064 sq.m. The duration of the construction works is estimated at approximately 24 to 30 months.
