Members of the Police arrested two persons, a 33-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, today at dawn, for the purpose of investigating a case of possession of burglary tools.
According to the evidence under examination, around 3 am today, members of the Police found a vehicle parked (without occupants) in an area in Chloraka, which was considered suspicious.
At some point, the above persons appeared, coming from the courtyard of an adjacent church.
In a subsequent search, burglary tools were found inside the vehicle, as well as various items, such as an electric scooter and power tools, for which these persons did not give satisfactory explanations for their origin.
The above persons were arrested for the offenses of possession of burglary tools and illegal possession of property and were detained to facilitate interrogations.
In a subsequent inspection in the churchyard, tools (adhesive tape, knife, etc.) were found, as well as traces of violation of the wooden door of the church.

A bomb was found outside the house of the 63-year-old last night in the area of Kato Pyrgos, Limassol.
Specifically, as he reported, shortly after 11 p.m., he found outside the main entrance door of his house, an improvised explosive bomb, high power, which detonated but did not explode.
Members of the Organized Crime and the Monastery Station went to the scene and excluded them, while at the same time a pyrotechnic technician was informed. The bomb was inactivated by safely removing the detonating medium and then received as evidence for scientific examination.

The Criminal Investigation Service of the Police Headquarters rushed to the metal recycling plant in Aradippou industrial area to conduct tests to determine exactly what was the object that caused the explosion injuring three people.
The incident, according to philenews, around 07:15 in the morning, when a 68-year-old man went to the factory in order to leave an item for recycling. While trying to remove the object from his double-cab car, it exploded, injuring him and two other people.
All the injured were then transferred to Larnaka General Hospital, with the 68-year-old suffering more serious injuries while the other two were slightly injured.
Officers of the Department of Labour Inspection also arrived at the factory site in order to clarify the exact circumstances of the injuries of the three persons.
