THE 'SUNSHADES' AT THE HARBOUR STILL CREATE DIVISION

Discussions are still intense in the Pafos municipal council regarding the three cans-sunshades that have been placed in front of the buildings of the port authority in the land area of the port of Kato Pafos.

The strong reactions of the citizens led the local authority to look for ways to "beautify" them by removing the "sides" of the iron structures.

At the last plenary session, a proposal was submitted by municipal councillor Michalis Hatzimitsis for their complete removal, a position that was however voted down by the city council, which prefers the implementation of an overall plan for the wider, very sensitive area.
