ISRAELIS SHOUTED ANTI BEN-GVIR SLOGANS OUTSIDE PAPHOS HOTEL

 Filenews 5 August 2023

Israeli citizens spotted their country's Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, at a Paphos hotel he chose for a short family holiday, and as Israeli media reported today, dozens protested outside the hotel in Paphos on Saturday afternoon, holding Israeli flags and chanting anti-government slogans.

As soon as they spotted Ben-Gvir in a Paphos hotel last night, Israeli citizens bullied him and addressed him, asking him ironically "if he came to Cyprus, which has democracy, to sleep soundly at night". Ben-Gvir reportedly replied that "even though you are leftists, we continue to love you."

At noon today, dozens of Israelis gathered with loudspeakers outside the hotel where Itamar Ben-Gvir is staying in Paphos. "Collect your dirty hands and don't touch our democracy," one Israeli protester shouted, adding that "wherever you are, whether inside Israel or anywhere abroad, you will find us facing you."

The video of the demonstration of Israeli citizens that took place today at noon outside the Paphos hotel is making the rounds on social media and news websites in Israel.

Tonight, dozens of protest rallies are planned in all Israeli cities, with a main event in downtown Tel Aviv, against the judicial reform promoted by the Israeli government for the 31st consecutive week.
