The case was due to be registered on Friday, but as "F" is informed through the forensic check carried out by the Cybercrime Department on the electronic files of the 40-year-old, new evidence has been identified that needs further investigation.
When the examinations are completed, the case file will then be forwarded to the Legal Service for instructions and the suspect will be referred. Meanwhile, investigators from the special unit for violence in the family of the Larnaca ICF are continuing their examinations in order to identify Cypriot users of a closed group on Telegram who, along with the suspect, allegedly distributed photos of. In order to secure the material trafficked, investigators in the case sent a request for legal assistance to the United States.
The 40-year-old's alleged activity was revealed to the 12 women when he accidentally sent some of their photos from his real account to an Instagram user who informed the victims.
The first complaint against him was made on June 28 by the ex-wife, who complained to police that nude photos of her and erotic videos taken by the suspect when they were married were circulating online. A few days later, his now-wife filed a complaint, saying the suspect had posted photos of herself and her relatives and friends in a Telegram and Instagram group, onto most of which he photomontaged the naked bodies of other women. In the following days, ten more women filed complaints with the special unit of the ICF of Larnaka.
It is noted that searches were also carried out on a pornographic website, based in Limassol, to which the suspect allegedly sent material.

A case of extortion of property by false representations, related to "PaySafe" prepaid credit cards, is being investigated by the Police in Limassol, according to a relevant announcement.
Specifically, the case was reported yesterday Friday, at the ICF of Limassol, by a kiosk employee. According to the complainant, early in the afternoon yesterday she received a call on the kiosk phone from an unknown person, who spoke Greek, told her that he was an employee of the company, which supplies the kiosk with "PaySafe" prepaid credit cards.
The stranger asked the complainant to issue prepaid credit cards of €100 via the kiosk computer, in order, as he told her, to cancel them. The complainant followed the instructions of the stranger, who after each card was issued, told the complainant an eight-digit number, which was supposedly the cancellation number of the card. After the 29th card was issued, the computer had a problem and the stranger interrupted communication.
An inspection carried out by the complainant, through the supplier company, found that it was a fraud and tried to cancel the above cards, managing to cancel 13 of them, while the rest were redeemed.
The ICF Limassol is investigating the case, it said.
On the occasion of this incident, the Police once again appeals to citizens and especially to the owners of kiosks, supermarkets and other shops where "PaySafe" cards are available for sale not to issue cards by phone to any person and to immediately inform their staff. It also invites them, if they become aware of the commission of such an offence, to immediately report the incident to the Police, stating the number of the card charged.
