SCHOOL OF TOURISM, HOSPITALITY & ENTREPRENEURSHIP OF CUT - BUILDING COMPLETED YESTERDAY

 Pafos Live 18 July 2023

The works of the building that will house the School of Tourism, Hospitality and Entrepreneurship of CUT in Paphos were completed yesterday.

The school is expected to welcome its first 300 students in September. The new School of CUT in Paphos will include the existing Academic Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, the new Academic Department of Management, Entrepreneurship and Digital Business and an Institute that will offer vocational training programs for culinary and other related professions.

Given that tourism is one of the main pillars of the country's economy and the local economy of the city of Pafos, the establishment of the School of Tourism will contribute in the best way to the scientific upgrading of the sector and the interconnection of education with the needs of the labour market.

It is noted that the Municipality of Pafos has already purchased a plot next to the School of Tourism where dormitories will be built exclusively for the students of the School. The 222 rooms will be owned by the Pafos Municipality, which will rent at a low rent to students who meet the criteria set.

The project will cost about €15 million and the local authority hopes that next academic year the dormitories will be ready.
