On the Nicosia – Limassol highway (A1), from Kalispera lights to the Pentaschinos river, from 28/02/2023 and for a period of six months, from Monday to Thursday, between the hours of 09:30 – 13:30, works will be carried out removal, transfer and repositioning of signs on the highway, in the direction of Limassol. During the execution of the works, the left traffic lane on the highway, in the direction of Limassol, will be closed for approximately 100 meters and the traffic will be diverted to the right traffic lane. From 12/7/2023 – 11/8/2023, excluding weekends, between the hours of 08:30 – 15:00, forestry work will be carried out on parts of the highway (A6) Paphos – Limassol in the express lanes in both directions on the central islet. During the work, the express lane will be partially closed and traffic will be diverted to the slow lane.
On the Larnaca-Ammochosto highway, in the period 24/7/2023 – 1/8/2023, excluding Fridays and weekends, from 20:00 in the evening until 05:30 in the morning of the following day, periodic road maintenance works will be carried out on sections of the highway heading towards Paralimni, from the first Ormideia exit to the second Ormideia – Xylofagou exit. During the works in the above section, both traffic lanes in the direction of Larnaca - Paralimni will be partially closed at a distance of approximately 3 km and the traffic will be diverted throughout the duration to the opposite traffic stream which will operate in two-way traffic. In the province of Nicosia, from Monday 10/7/2023 until the end of July, 2023 (excluding weekends), from 07:00 in the morning until 18:30 in the afternoon, asphalt paving works will be carried out on the following roads: Ø Road to Prodromos Ø Road to Skouriotissa Ø Tembria – Galata – Kakopetria road During the works, one lane of the road will remain closed for approximately 150m and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane, or portable traffic lights will be used. In Lakatamia, works will be carried out on Tseriou Avenue and Strovolou Street, from Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue to Pefkou Street, from Friday 12/5/2023 and for a period of 20 months, as part of the improvement/construction of Ippokratous, Argyroupoleos and Sektos Avenues of Tseriou Avenue and Strovolou Street. At the same time, during the same period, as part of the reconstruction of Hippocrates Avenue, Themistokleous Street and Areos Avenue will be closed from their junction with Themistokleous Street to Nikias Street and Kentaurou Street respectively. In the province of Nicosia, at the Tseri bypass (Halepiano road), from Saturday May 6, 2023, from 7.00 in the morning and for a period of six (6) months, works will be carried out at the junction with the road under construction that will join the Perimetriko Motorway. The traffic lanes will be moved slightly south for a period of 3 months and then further north for another 3 months. In the section of Patmos Street from its junction with Agia Paraskevi Street to its junction with Agamemnona Street, in the period 26/6/2023 – 4/8/2023, works will be carried out. During the execution of the works, the junction of Agia Paraskevi street with Patmou street will be closed and traffic to and from the Panioti area will be through the Agios Athanasios roundabout and Michalaki Zavos and Kypselis streets. The arrangements for traffic from the Panioti area to Limassol are not affected and remain as they are. In Tseri, Nicosia province, from September 1, 2022, works will be carried out on the Road within Tseri, which will last 78 weeks and is expected to be completed by February 28, 2024. Works will be carried out within the Municipality of Tseri to upgrade the main road that passes through the Municipality. More specifically, the works will include the construction of a two-lane road (with additional clockwise lanes at the traffic lights) within the Municipality of Tseri for a length of approximately 2.5 kilometers. It also includes the construction of sections of bypass roads (K. Misiaulis, Salaminas, T. Anthia, S. Papalazarou, etc.), in a total area of approximately 600 meters, which contribute to the main road. In the project, a small roundabout connecting Strovo streets will be built. Lou and Agios Georgios at its northern end. Along the road, parking spaces will be created on both sides to serve the commercial areas of the Municipality as well as the two Primary Schools included in the project. The project also includes the construction of sidewalks, the installation of traffic lights, the undergrounding of all utilities, horizontal and vertical signage, the installation of new street lighting and other related works. Depending on each phase of the works, the relevant announcements will be issued that will describe the works to be performed as well as the corresponding traffic regulations. Within the framework of the "Road within Tseri" Project, in the period 24/4/2023 - 4/8/2023, the fourth phase of the works is to be implemented. Specifically, a section of Strovolou Street will be closed from its junction with Agios Georgiou Street to its junction with Pentelis Street. During the above phase, drivers heading to and from Nicosia are requested to use Agios Georgios, Agia Sofia, Markos Drakos, Pentelis streets and the section of Strovolou Street, which will remain open to traffic. For the above traffic detour there will be appropriate temporary markings, which drivers are encouraged to follow. Also within the framework of the "Road within Tseri" Project, in the period 21 June 2023 to 29 September 2023, the fifth phase of the works will be implemented and a section of Theodosi Pieridis Street will be closed from its junction with Protomagias Street to its junction with Michael Karaoli street. During the above phase, traffic from Nicosia to Marki and vice versa will be diverted to Salaminos, Filias, Amathustos and Analyondas streets. In addition, from Nicosia to Halepianes and vice versa, traffic will be channeled through Salaminos, Anexartisias and Tevkrou Anthia streets. For the above traffic regulations, there will be appropriate temporary markings. In Larnaca, on Alexandrou Panagoulis Avenue, on Monday 24/7/2023 from 07:00 until Monday 25/7/2023, at 16:00, work will be carried out to install a network of storm drains, by the Larnaca Sewerage Council . During the above period, a section of Alexandros Panagoulis Avenue, from the "Technical School" roundabout to its light-controlled junction with Terpsichori Street, in the direction from Livadia to Larnaca, will be closed and traffic will be through adjacent roads. On Ellados Avenue, from the light-controlled junction with the Larnaca – Nicosia highway (Fota Zapata) to the connection with the Larnaca – Paralimni highway, in the period 26/7/2023 – 2/8/2023, except Saturday and Sunday, between the hours of 07 :00 -15:00, periodic maintenance work will be performed. During the execution of the works, the two traffic lanes of Hellados Avenue will be closed and the traffic will be channeled to secondary traffic roads with the use of appropriate signage. In the province of Larnaca, within the framework of the "Improvement of the Larnaca - Dekelia Coastal Road, Phase C" Project, the works that started on September 16, 2022, from the Nauticos Club roundabout to the junction with Pyla, will continue to be carried out next to the boundaries of the road for another three months, until August, 2023. On the Larnaca-Dekelia coastal road, also as part of the construction works of the Project "Improvement of the Larnaca-Dekelia Coastal Road Phase C", works will continue to be carried out at a point on the road despite the Larnaca Maritime Club in both directions until October 10, 2023 and traffic will be diverted to Navarinou Street for 650m. approximately, until Athens Street. Also in the province of Larnaca, on Friday 19/05/2023, the reconstruction works of the Ormidia - Xylofago road will begin, which will last for approximately 12 months, until the end of May 2024. The Project is an improvement of a part of the existing road that connects the community Ormideia with the old Larnaca - Dekelia - Famagusta road. The section of the existing road that is being improved begins immediately after the exit from the residential area (near the junction with Menelaou Ludemi Street) and ends at the junction with the old road Larnaca – Dekelia – Famagusta. In Limassol, for the project "Improvement of the Germasogeia Bypass Road, Phase A", during the period 26/6/2023 – 4/8/2023, works will be carried out on the section of Patmos Street from its junction with Agia Paraskevi Street to its junction with Agamemnon Street. During the works, the junction of Agia Paraskevi street with Patmou street will be closed and traffic to and from the Panioti area will be through the Agios Athanasios roundabout and Michalaki Zavos and Kypselis streets. The arrangements for traffic from the Panioti area to Limassol are not affected and remain as they are.
