A four-year-old girl, the child of Syrian refugees, is hospitalized at Makarios hospital after falling from a height of 3.5 metres.
The little girl escaped the attention of her parents yesterday late afternoon and under circumstances that are being investigated climbed on the balcony railings of the apartment on the second floor, where the family lives, and then fell into the void resulting in a head injury.
The four-year-old child was taken to Paphos hospital by her father. Due to the severity of the girl's condition, it was deemed necessary to transfer her to Makarios Children's Hospital where it was found that she suffered a skull fracture. She is hospitalized by intubation while her health condition is described as serious.
