Terrible are the quantities of drugs, for the size of the Pafos district, that have been seized recently.
According to data obtained by CyBC, the effectiveness of the members of the YKAN is demonstrated by the large quantities of all drugs that have been detected and seized, as well as by the arrests that have been made. The quantity of forty kilos found and seized late yesterday afternoon in an area of Chloraka was the largest found so far.
Cumulatively from January to the end of July in Paphos, the Anti-Narcotics Service has identified 110 kg of cannabis, 14 kg of cocaine, 5 kg of methamphetamine, 1500 tablets of ecstasy, one kilogram of ecstasy powder and 350 grams of other synthetic drugs.
More than ten Greek Cypriots and foreigners have been arrested and brought to justice for these cases.
