The scale of the phenomenon of burglaries and thefts in Pafos is still considered very serious, despite the significant intensification of police checks and patrols throughout the 24-hour period.
Information from "F" shows that the Police are currently preparing special plans to deal with the situation, in view of the increase in traffic due to tourism, since from the many arrests of recent times it has now become obvious that there is an organized plan of gangs and these are not isolated actions of some individuals.
This is confirmed, according to competent officials, by the existence of specific complaints of citizens about groups of people who were moving visibly suspiciously in neighbourhoods of Pafos and communities of the peri-urban area, while in the following days in these same areas there are indeed complaints of citizens about thefts from their homes. Let's hope that the new designs prove effective, before things get out of hand completely.
