The Council of Ministers approves on Thursday the bill for the establishment and operation of the special court, known as the foreclosure court.
During the discussion in the parliamentary committee on Finance of four bills amending the legal framework for foreclosures, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, George Panteli, said that after the approval of the bill on Thursday by the Council of Ministers, on the same day it will be submitted to Parliament.
Regarding the Rent for Installment scheme, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry said that the final decision of the European Commission will be given soon. He also said that the ministry had answered some additional questions submitted by the Commission.
According to Mr. Pantelis, as soon as there is a final decision from the EU, the bills that will facilitate the implementation of the Instalment Scheme will be sent to Parliament.
