The Police recommends particular attention to the public, since it has recently received several complaints from citizens about online fraud related to Banks and Credit Institutions and aims to steal money from bank accounts.
In particular, citizens receive misleading updates and messages that falsely inform them that their bank accounts have been deactivated and are asked to confirm their access details and various information of their accounts with the Bank / Credit Institution. The confirmation of the data is done through the selection of electronic links sent by the perpetrators that lead to fake websites, which resemble the websites of banking / credit institutions.
The public is urged to be particularly careful not to disclose to any person their personal information and passwords to their bank accounts.
Before placing passwords on banking websites, citizens should always make sure that it is the authentic website of the Bank/Credit Institution with which they cooperate and maintain an account.
