It was reported to the Police by a shop owner in Famagusta district that, between the dates of April 5-6, 2023, unknown persons broke into his store and stole various electronic items.
As part of the investigation of the case, testimony emerged against a 33-year-old resident of Famagusta district, who was arrested yesterday on the basis of a court warrant and detained.
Under questioning, the arrested man allegedly admitted to committing four cases of burglary and theft from houses and buildings, committed during the month of April in the Famagusta district.

Police arrested a 35-year-old man today to facilitate investigations into a series of cases of burglary and theft committed between the dates 24/01/2023 – 26/04/2023 in the districts of Nicosia, Larnaca and Morfou.
The 35-year-old is allegedly involved in 27 counts of conspiracy to commit a felony, nightly burglary of a place of worship and theft, burglary of a building and theft, attempted burglary and malicious damage.
Among the cases being investigated are ten cases of burglary and theft from petrol stations.
The total amount of stolen property amounts to approximately €17,500, while the amount of damages caused during the above offenses is estimated to exceed €4,500.
The 35-year-old was arrested this afternoon on a court arrest warrant and taken into custody to facilitate interrogations.
The ICF Nicosia continues the examinations.
