The Pafos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company (ETAP), with the cooperation and sponsorship of Hermes Airports for the amount of €25,000 through the concession of advertising space inside and outside Pafos International Airport, proceeds to actions for the "smart" operation of the unit and the information of passengers for the operation of Pafos as an EU Smart Tourism Capital for 2023.
Pafos International Airport now extensively promotes this title of Pafos, ETAP emphasizes in its announcement, contributing decisively to the communication of this distinction and of the institution in general.
"Paphos along with other European cities are role models for smart tourism in Europe and are at the top of the international ranking in terms of sustainability, innovation and integration of smart practices," it said. "This distinction of Pafos is very important. There is now an inextricable need for the destination in general to invest even more so that in the coming years it becomes a model smart destination in areas such as Accessibility, Sustainability, Digitalization, Cultural Heritage and Creativity".
