Their resignations were submitted on Monday to the District Officer of Pafos, Mary Lambrou, by the president of the community and three of the four members of the Community Council of Kritou Terras.
According to the president of the C.C. of Kritou Terras, Dervis Charalambous, they are protesting against the integration of the community into the Municipality of Polis Chrysochous.
Mr. Dervis noted that the community of Kritou Terra wanted to be integrated into a cluster of communities in the area and not into the Municipality of Polis.
He also pointed out that they also held a referendum in which residents overwhelmingly supported this position.
The president of the community handed over to the district administration the stamps and the chequebook of the Community Council.
