The Municipality of Pafos is proceeding with the construction of student dormitories, according to the Mayor of Pafos, Phedon Phedonos.
In a post on social media, Mr. Phedonos says that this is the first time in Cyprus that student dormitories will be built by a municipality.
As the Mayor of Pafos points out, on a piece of land purchased by the Municipality, a residence with 203 student rooms will be built with money from the Municipality of Pafos, next to the premises of the CUT building in Paphos.
The plans, according to him, are almost ready and tenders for the contractor will be announced soon.
Pafos, the Mayor concludes, will build its future on solid foundations, noting at the same time that university education is the pinnacle of the pillars of development around the world.
