According to cross-referenced information in the column, the first big deal of 2023 was formally closed, as the transfer of the former SODAP plant in Limassol from Altamira to a consortium of Cypriot and foreign investors was completed. The deal, according to well-informed sources, closed at €32.5m. And already the new owners put forward to proceed with "mammoth" development in the area.

According to insider information, the space will be transformed into a state-of-the-art office complex, which will be aimed exclusively at a company employed in the fields of technology, research and innovation.

It is noted that the property transferred abuts the sea coastline, with a total frontage of 220 meters. Within the property there are listed buildings with a total area of 7,500 sq.m., while the total area of land is 38,827 sq.m.

The building is a point of reference, as it was an emblematic complex of factory facilities that since 1947 has been the headquarters of the Cooperative Organization for the Distribution of Viticultural Products. The building was one of the most important examples of Limassol's industrial heritage.
