Twenty-seven traffic complaints were made in the last twenty-four hours in Paphos, most of which concerned driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to Pafos Police Director Nikos Tsappis, in a coordinated operation to prevent road traffic collisions, 27 traffic complaints were made in the last twenty-four hours in Paphos, of which 14 concerned driving under the influence of alcohol, while two drivers were found driving under the influence of drugs.
The rest of the complaints, Tsapis said, concerned minor traffic offences. Also, he continued, a 29-year-old man was arrested, who, in addition to allegedly driving under the influence of drugs, after a relevant narcotest test he underwent and was found positive, was also detained with allegations of stabbing and possession of factory firecrackers.
The coordinated police operations will continue at a later stage, Tsapis concluded.
