In a search carried out yesterday by members of the Limassol OPE, pursuant to a court warrant, at a house where a 17-year-old resides in Limassol, 1,193 firecrackers, 37 torches and 16 fireworks were located and confiscated. At the same time, in a search of a trailer owned by the father of the 17-year-old, another 33 torches were found.
The 17-year-old was arrested for a flagrant offence and taken into custody to facilitate interrogations.
Also, members of the Limassol OPE conducted yesterday afternoon a search pursuant to a court warrant at the home of a 32-year-old man in Limassol, where 1,064 fireworks were found and confiscated.

The donors of a small chapel on the beach of Chloraka were stunned today.
Strangers desecrated the temple by throwing icons and trampling these onto the ground. They broke everything they found in front of them and wrote slogans on the door of the Temple.
The chapel was erected by the manager of an adjacent café and is dedicated to Saints Nicholas and Ephraim of Nea Makri.
