The operation of TAXISnet – VAT was terminated yesterday, while on March 27, the new computerized system of the Tax For All – (TFA) Department of Taxation begins operating, which in the first stage will concern VAT and VIES, said the Superintendent of Taxation, Sotiris Markidis.
At the same time, he said that the operation in full form of Tax For All will be completed at the end of 2024.
"TAXISnet – VAT operated until March 16, 2023, while the next period will be used for the safe transfer of data to Tax For All – (TFA)," he noted.
Mr. Markides explained that individuals (Employees, Pensioners, Self-Employed) and Legal Entities who only submit declarations for Direct Tax purposes (e.g. Income Tax, Special Defence Contribution, GHS, etc.) are not affected by this change at this stage of implementation of the project, as they will continue (at this stage) to submit their returns through the Taxisnet System and make use of the tax portal.
"Tax For All – (TFA) is the unified Tax Management System of the Tax Department that will place under the same umbrella almost all the existing systems of the Tax Department," he underlined.
He added that Tax For All – (TFA) will upgrade both the internal operation of the Department, thus making it more efficient and effective as well as the electronic services to businesses, their consultants and citizens / taxpayers, creating a user-friendly environment.
According to the Tax Commissioner, Tax For All is expected to be completed in 3 stages: In the first stage the implementation of the project will concern VAT and VIES, while in the second and third stage it will concern Direct Taxation and is expected to be completed at the end of 2024.
"Our priority is to securely transfer data from existing systems to the new Tax For All – (TFA) system," he stressed.
He also mentioned that through the TFA Taxpayers' Portal - Tax For All, whose first stage concerns VAT, the following functions will be available at this stage: Submission of VAT returns, VIES and Special Urban Taxi Scheme, submission of a detailed statement of data on the Special VAT Scheme for Farmers, viewing and printing statements of tax accounts, declarations, payments, tax refund requests, making payments, issuing certificates and sending and receiving messages to and from the Tax Department.
Mr. Markides said that the Tax Department, wanting to facilitate users in this transitional stage, will give an extension to the date of submission of VAT Returns as follows:

He said that to serve users in the transition process, a service center has been organized regarding the use of TFA for VAT and VIES purposes and added that those affected will be able to call the five-digit number 17700 and / or the 8-digit number 22803803 for international calls.
Finally, the Superintendent of Taxation said that the coordination of the project has been numerous team, which is working with zeal for the most effective implementation of the project.
"We are vigilant and we will face any difficulties that may arise, always with the aim of better serving the citizens," he concluded.
