Significant damage to the public toilet area on Agias Aikaterinis Street, in Tala, was caused by the firing of high-power firecrackers on Sunday night. The damage was noticed by a member of the Tala Community Council who was passing through the area and informed the Police.
Members of the Paphos Directorate went to the scene and the examinations that followed revealed that the damage was caused by explosions of improvised explosive objects and in particular high-power firecrackers.
Damage was caused to three facilities in the public toilets, the value of the damage has not yet been calculated.
Examinations are continuing by the Police to identify the perpetrators.
