The Permanent Assize Court of Limassol yesterday convicted the 43-year-old who was found guilty after her own admission to the serious charges she was facing, imposing a prison sentence for the offence of possession for the purpose of supplying a quantity of 360 grams of methamphetamine. The defendant in the case was also a 34-year-old Greek Cypriot who was found inside her apartment.

The members of YKAN Limassol, forcibly broke the door of the 43-year-old's apartment and spotted her in the toilet, throwing away 5 nylon packages containing 50 grams of methamphetamine in the basin. The 43-year-old tried to flush the toilet, but YKAN members caught up with her. Also, an amount of 310 grams of methamphetamine and a quantity of 15 grams of cocaine were found indoors under a jacuzzi.

The 34-year-old denied involvement in the case, but admitted that at an unknown date before his arrest he had used an illegal drug, namely methamphetamine. The Assize Court sentenced him to two months in prison with a three-year suspension.
