The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that for the Second Announcement of the Scheme during the period 2023, 1130 applications for a "High Power" Motorcycle Category and 50 applications for a "Low Power" Motorcycle Category have been accepted. The Scheme has a three-year duration (2022-2024), with a total budget of €1,050,000 for 3 years (€350,000 per year).
The deadline for the submission of applications for the Second Call for Proposals of the Scheme has expired on 01/03/23, 12m. The applications were submitted electronically on the website www.motosafety.gov.cy in no order of priority and concern the grant for the purchase of a Body Airbag for Motorcyclists with a grant amount of €500 or the actual cost of its purchase, whichever is lower. The amount of the subsidy will be calculated on the basis of the purchase price including VAT.
At the end of the application period, an electronic draw will be held and applicants will be informed of the preliminary approval electronically (via email) or by text message (sms) or by post.
