Thousands of earthquake victims from Turkey, who lost their homes, said they had fled to the occupied territories.
According to the Press and Information Office, "Yeni Duzen" writes that thousands of earthquake victims who lost their homes, said that they fled to the homes of their relatives in occupied Cyprus because they could not stand the poor living conditions there and worried about the "uncertain future".
The earthquake victims said they lost hope for the future after the disaster, and as a last resort they came to their relatives in Cyprus. Some said that when conditions improve they want to return back to Turkey, while others said that even if they return, they have nothing left
The newspaper also writes that while the earthquake victims whose homes and workplaces were damaged by the earthquake in Turkey and who fled to relatives and acquaintances in occupied Cyprus continue to arrive, it has become known that aid activities will be carried out under the supervision of the Turkish illegal embassy in occupied Nicosia.
It is noted that the earthquake victims who arrive in the occupied areas are informed and recorded through the electronic system at the "embassy".
