The Police announced the roads that are open only for vehicles with four-wheel drive.
These are the Platres-Troodos, Karvounas-Troodos and Prodromos-Troodos roads.
Open but slippery due to frost are the roads Pedoulas – Prodromos, Pedoulas – Pinewood – Kakopetrias, Prodromos – Platres, Prodromos – Lemythou, Kakopetrias – Caves, Pedoulas – Kykkos – Kampos, Kampos – Orkonta and Kakopetrias – Karvounas
It should be noted that due to the prevailing winter conditions, the situation on the road network is changing.
The public is urged as before their movements, they are informed about the condition of the roads through the announcements released by the Police from its information networks: Cyprus Police www.cypruspolicenews.com.

Cold air mass affects the region.
Today, the weather will be partly cloudy and at times mostly cloudy, while there may be a few isolated rains, as well as light snowfall in the mountains. The winds will blow mainly northeast to east, moderate but locally to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little turbulent and windward until turbulent. The temperature will rise to 13 degrees inland, around 14 degrees on the coast and zero in the higher mountains. Locally in the mountains frost is expected to prevail.

On Saturday, Sunday and Monday the weather will be partly cloudy and at times mostly cloudy, while there may be isolated rain, as well as light snowfall in the higher mountains and locally in the lower mountains. The temperature on Saturday will not change significantly, remaining below the average climatic values, while on Sunday it will rise, to be close to the average climatic values. On Monday the temperature will drop slightly.
The height of the snow on Troodos Square at the time of issue of the bulletin was 57 cm.
