Temporary traffic arrangements come into force today, Saturday, in the traditional commercial centre of Paphos due to the execution of works.
According to an announcement by the Municipality of Paphos, today in the southern area of the commercial traditional centre of the city, the construction works for the Second Phase of the project for the Regeneration of the traditional core of the Anavargos District and the Southern Area of the Commercial Traditional Centre of Paphos begin.
The works will affect Gladstonos Street, Apostolou Pavlou Avenue (section), Nikodimou Mylona Street (part), Ermou Street, Nikos Antoniadi Street, Pallados Street, Pygmalionos Street, Renou Street, Galatias Street.
Specifically, for the period of the next three months and until the end of May 2023, works will be carried out on Nikodimou Mylona Street and Ermou Street, which will remain closed to traffic.
In addition, safe access for pedestrians of affected residents and visitors to homes and businesses will be ensured throughout the execution of the works.
The bulk of the traffic will be served by Gladstonos Street which will be open to traffic in both streams.
Paphos Municipality asks for the understanding of those affected for any inconvenience that is likely to be caused, the statement concludes.
