The latest decision of the Council of Ministers to create a marina in Paphos, with residential and commercial spaces, a hotel and a pier for luxury cruise ships, is moving in the right direction, according to the local authorities of the area where the Marina will be created.
After almost 20 years since the first decision to build a marina in the Gulf of Potimes in Paphos, the project is now on track for implementation. The Paphos marina will significantly enrich the country's tourism product and stimulate the local economy by bringing multiplier benefits, economic operators of the province point out. Paphos will now be placed on the nautical map and the conditions will be created for attracting further investments while local actors expect that the necessary infrastructure will be implemented at the same time.
Based on the estimates made by the provincial officials, the Potimon Marina could begin construction in the next three years.
