The roads on the mountain network are slippery and dangerous due to frost, while some are open only to vehicles with four-wheel drive.
More specifically:
Open ONLY for vehicles with four-wheel drive are the following roads, due to frost:
- Karvounas – Troodos
- Platres – Troodos
- Prodromou – Troodos
Also, open but slippery due to frost are the following roads:
- Pedoulas – Kykkos – Kampos
- Pedoulas – Pinewood – Kakopetrias
- Pedoulas – Prodromou
- Prodromou – Lemythou
- Kakopetrias – Karvounas
- Kakopetrias – Spilion
- Kampou – Orkonta
Generally on the mountainous road network, drivers are urged to be especially careful, since due to frost that may exist, the roads can be slippery and dangerous.
In the remaining areas, the road network does not present any problems that seriously affect the movement of vehicles on the main roads, apart from the work carried out in various areas.
All road users are urged to be particularly careful and to always adhere to the provisions of the highway code.
