Members of the ICF Nicosia conducted a search yesterday afternoon on the basis of a court warrant in the apartment of a 38-year-old man in Nicosia.
Upon the arrival of the members of the Police on the floor where the 38-year-old lives, he was seen descending from the stairs leading to the rooftop. The search of the apartment was carried out without finding anything reprehensible.
However, suspicions were raised about his presence on the rooftop and a search followed where a bag containing 524 full 9mm cartridges as well as three used ones was found hidden. A pistol dummy was also found. The 38-year-old was questioned and allegedly admitted that the findings were his own and was arrested for an offence committed in the act.
This was followed by a search in a specific area with the help of members of the YKAN (Nicosia Unit), as well as pyrotechnicians and members of the Kynon Branch, but without detecting anything reprehensible.
The 38-year-old was then taken to the offices of the ICF Nicosia where he was re-arrested on the basis of a court warrant and taken into custody.
The ICF Nicosia continues the examinations.

A foreign woman in Paphos was holding a doll pretending to be a child and asking the drivers who stopped at the traffic lights for money.
Members of the Paphos Police, after a check they carried out on the woman, discovered the way in which she was deceiving the citizens, after realizing that the child she was holding was a fake doll.
According to information, there were a few citizens, who were interested in giving clothes and financial assistance for the child... that the woman was holding in her arms

A new complaint about extortion of money with false representations is under investigation by the ICF Limassol, with the amount of money, which was extorted, amounting to almost 224,000 dollars and €130,000.
According to the complaint, they breached the server system in Limassol, gaining access to the company's bank account from which they were able to transfer money to a foreign bank.
From the audit carried out by the company on the bank accounts, where the money was transferred, it was found that the accounts have nothing to do with the company.
