A large number of firearms, grenades, a grenade launcher, and a number of cartridges and detonators, were found yesterday afternoon by members of the Police, in a building in Limassol, which is used as a warehouse.
Reportedly, from the first tests done, they appear to be oxidized and in a non-working state.
Specifically, the members of the Police located about 50 firearms and a revolver pistol, among them Browning and Bren machine guns and Sten machine guns, 25 offensive grenades, a bazooka-type launcher, 200 common detonators, number of military cartridges of various calibres, and number of magazines.
The weaponry was received by the members of the Police in order to receive specialized examinations.
The ICF Limassol is investigating the case.
