Four coronavirus patients have died in the last week in Cyprus. According to the announcement of the Ministry of Health in the week of January 27 - February 2, 1,497 cases of coronavirus were recorded with the positivity rate amounting to 2.33%.
Specifically:
4 deaths announced
They concern:
- Woman, aged 86, who passed away on 27/01/2023
- Man, aged 78, who passed away on 27/01/2023
- Man, aged 84, who passed away on 28/01/2023
- Woman, aged 69, who passed away on 01/02/2023
- Total number of deaths with COVID-19 as the ultimate cause: 1,291.
- 65 COVID-19 patients are being treated in shsypy hospitals
- 13 in serious condition (ICU: 0 off ventilator/8 intubated, MAF: 5)
Diagnostic tests:
- A total of 64,166 diagnostic tests were performed
- 1,497 new cases were detected (total cases 644,160).
- Positivity rate in all tests 2,33%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
- 1,719 molecular tests were performed
- There were 127 positive cases
- Positivity rate 7.39%
Total number of rapid antigen tests:
- 62,447 rapid antigen tests were performed
- There were 1,370 positive cases
- Positivity rate 2.19%
Private initiative:
- 1,364 molecular tests were performed, 69 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 5.06%)
- 38,149 rapid antigen tests were performed, 1,203 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 3.15%)
Through the programs of the Ministry of Health, 24,298 rapid antigen tests were performed. 167 positive cases were identified.
- Sampling points: 16,498 rapid tests, 97 positive cases identified (positivity rate 0.59%)
Education
- Primary Education: 1.018 rapid antigen tests, 1 positive case detected (positivity rate 0.1%)
- Secondary Education: 206 rapid tests, no positive cases detected (positivity rate 0%)
Other
- Nursing homes: 5,134 rapid antigen tests performed, 58 positive cases identified (positivity rate 1.13%)
- Closed facilities: 1,442 rapid antigen tests were performed, 11 new cases were identified (positivity rate 0.76%).
