The "Connectivity Grant Scheme", the main objective of which is to increase the demand for ultra-high-speed connections, while encouraging the market for investments in pro-high-speed networks, was approved today by the Council of Ministers.

The Plan provides a grant to cover part of the set-up cost and part of the monthly subscription cost for the first 12 months of connecting to broadband services with download speeds of at least 200 Mbps under peak conditions. The total value of the grant is a fixed amount of €120 per connection for 1 year.

Eligible beneficiaries of the Scheme will be natural persons who establish a connection for the first time or wish to upgrade their existing connection which should be less than 100 Mbps, in connection with services of at least 200Mbps, regardless of technology. More specifically, the beneficiaries of the Scheme are households located in the Republic of Cyprus.

The Plan will be valid in total until the end of the second quarter of 2025, based on the set objectives / commitments of the Republic of Cyprus in the Plan "Cyprus – tomorrow", while its budget will be allocated through two consecutive calls.
