After 10 years of stagnation of the project, the bridge that will connect the Industrial Areas of Tremithousa and Mesogi, is back on track. This is underlined by AKEL's Pafos MP, Valentinos Fakontis, pointing out that the state's development budgets for the years 2023 and 2024 include funds for the resumption of the project.
The bridge started in 2012 and the works were suspended due to geotechnical problems, explains Mr. Fakontis, who characterizes the project as very important.
"The dynamics and great importance of this project for the improvement of the area has been highlighted many times inside and outside the Parliament, since the road network of the area is insufficient and keeps development frozen", he emphasizes. "As AKEL, we will continue to monitor the progress of the work and exercise the necessary parliamentary control to complete the project within the timeframes set."
