RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS ON THE WAY

Weak high pressure is affecting the area, while from Sunday evening weak low pressure will begin to affect the area, according to the forecast of the Meteorological Service.

Tonight, increased average and high clouds will be observed intermittently. During the early hours of the morning, a thin fog may form locally, mainly in areas of the interior and in the east. The temperature will drop to around 8 degrees inland, around 12 degrees on the coast and around 6 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tomorrow, there will be increased mainly average and high clouds. The winds will blow northeast to southeast, weak and transient on the windward coast to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be up a little turbulent. The temperature will rise to around 21 degrees inland, on the west and north coasts, around 20 degrees on the rest of the coast and around 12 degrees on the higher mountains.

Tomorrow night, the weather will be mostly cloudy and mainly from midnight onwards local rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected, with the phenomena affecting initially the western half of the island and soon the rest of the areas.

On Monday, the weather will be mostly cloudy. Early in the morning, local rains are expected, mainly in the western half of the island, while later other areas may be affected.

On Tuesday, the weather will be mostly cloudy and local rains and a possible isolated thunderstorm are expected from time to time. On Wednesday, local rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected, with the phenomena being prolonged or even locally intense.

The temperature is not expected to change significantly on Monday, while by Wednesday a gradual decline is expected and will fluctuate close to the average climatic values.
