The Paphos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company (ETAP) in collaboration with the Paphos and Evagoras Pallikaridis cycling clubs are launching a campaign entitled: "Let's share the roads safely".
As the president of ETAP, Kyriakos Droussiotis, told "F", the main goal of the campaign is to send messages to both cyclists and motorists, as to how these road users can coexist with respect for both so that cycling can be carried out safely. Messages, he points out, stemming from the Highway Code and have been approved by the Paphos Police Department.
"The campaign is designed in Greek and English," according to Droussiotis. "The first phase of the effort is currently being completed, while the second and third phases will be held in the intervals of January-April and October-December 2023 within the framework of the actions to promote the title of European Capital of Smart Tourism 2023".
The Pafos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company and the bodies that surround it, according to its president, actively promote cycling tourism, which is why this effort is inextricably linked to the friendliness that the province should have to cyclists as a cycling destination, but also to the general strategy for using the bicycle as an alternative form of environmentally friendly transportation.
